A very beautiful 1960s English locket with a hand engraved front and a polished back.
Measuring a cool 4.6cm in diameter, this is larger than most modern lockets and would look very on-trend suspended from a statement chain.
Locket has a hand engraved motif at the front and a polished back which contains hallmarks which have been partially rubbed off. Still visible are the English Hallmarks for Birmingham 9ct Gold and the date mark for 1966.
It holds two pictures and it is in all working order. Closure mechanism is still sturdy and the locket has minor signs of wear but still in good condition for its age.
Weighing a steady 20 grams of solid 9ct gold, this is jewellery from a by gone era which will always be favoured by women from generations to come.
